Merriway 2mm Galvanized Garden Wire - 20m (65ft) - Grey, 12 Gauge

This review is for the Bulk Hardware BH00327 Galvanised coated 2mmx20m Garden wire. I bought this to help train some plants and for general tying back of vine etc. in the garden. The wire is as stated in the description. It is Galvanised to protect from premature rusting etc., but is not plastic coated or anything, just wire. It comes in a 20 meter length, supplied in a thick plastic sealed bag, and is secured into the wound up form using a couple of pieces of the same wire as ties. The maker is good enough to warn that there may be sharp edges and you should take precautions or wear gloves. Note: when you release the ties, the wire will spring out unless you are cautious and hold the wire as you untie. The wire is nicely strong, but can be bent with your hand unless you want a small radius bend, in which case, a small set of pliers or needle nose pliers work great. I tend to cut a length, and then use a pair of needle nose pliers to bend the end onto a shape similar to a shepherds crook. This allows me to sink it into the earth and put the top curve over any plant branch that I am trying to train in a certain direction. I have also used it on some framework to train some vines horizontally. Quite happy with my purchase, and did buy another one exactly the same when I ran out. Pity it didn't come in 40meter rolls, but no biggie given the price and speedy delivery. Would I recommend them to friends... YES Would I buy them again... YES I would. Very reasonably priced, well packaged. Perfect for my fence project, good quality galvanised wire easy to cut with small wire-cuttters or even a decent pair of pliers. Be aware not to fully unravel the coil as it will spring out and be difficult to re-coil, just leave two fastening wires on(there will be four) and pull out required lengths as you need them........I bought 60m(3 rolls of 20m) and that should last me a lifetime...........very pleased with the product. Left off 1 star as it took 9days to arrive.

J'ai utilisé ce fil de fer sur un mur, dans mon jardin, pour guider un arbuste à plante grimpante. Il est plutôt solide et son diamètre inspire confiance. Il est galvanisé donc ça devrait tenir sous la pluie. Edit mai 2020 : presque 3 ans après, le fil est intact et utilisé comme je l'avais prévu. Donc je recommande l'article.

Cercavo un fil di ferro molto resistente per l'armatura delle mie sculture, che mantenesse la forma nonostante i chili di creta sopra. *PRODOTTO* Il fil di ferro è di 2mm, molto resistente e NON ricoperto. È di facile modellazione, anche per chi, come me, ha poca forza. Con i suoi 20 metri di lunghezza, non finirà a breve, nonostante l'uso massiccio che ne faccio. Piuttosto economico date le sue qualità. *IMBALLAGGIO* Il prodotto è arrivato parecchio velocemente grazie ad AmazonPrime, imbustato in sacchetto di plastica quasi più duro del fil di ferro e avvolto dalle pluriball (le millebolle da scoppiare). *CONCLUSIONI* Trovare un fil di ferro che mantenga la forma e si modelli con non troppa forza è piuttosto ardua come impresa. Questo quindi, è adatto allo scopo che ne faccio io e ad altri mille usi.
